Colors are not preset topics — Louvain community detection groups questions by how they link. V400 contains 380 questions (114 original + 260 expanded research gaps + 6 design questions) grouped into 17 clusters.
| Course Design & Workload | Instructor/course-side preparation, topic cycles, domain-specific prerequisites, TA persistence |
| Institution Funding & Reputation | How schools attract firms through funding, star courses, employer-relations offices, and risk/reputation motives |
| Firm Value Perception & Data Access | How firms update perceived participation value from observable metrics and what data access makes observable |
| Urgency & Time Mismatch | Who needs the cooperation more, and how budget-year / cohort-cycle mismatches change that balance |
| Firm Efficiency & Commitment Signals | Where firm-side efficiency loss concentrates and which long-term-intent signals are credible |
| Attrition Attribution & Contact Churn | Whether firms leave because value is absent or crowded out, and whether relationships survive contact-person turnover |
| Incentive Alignment & Multitask | How promotion, budget-line attribution, and multitask pressure align or misalign the five parties |
| Student Long-term Returns & Reputation | Whether students' deferred returns realize, and how reputation substitutes for them |
| Mentor Cost & Who Pays | Cost-sharing among TAs, external mentors, course budgets, and firms |
| TA Load & Scalability | TA resource allocation and how one-price courses scale as teams and stakeholders grow |
| Value Realization Lag & Scale | The 2–3-year value lag, template standardization, and multi-school firm teams |
| Mechanism Design & Governance | How to align five-party incentives, define value creation/capture, and prevent both firm capture and firm flight |
| Success Measurement & Attribution | Whose success criteria win, and how schools/firms differently attribute outcomes |
| Firm Hiring Motives & AI | Why firms hire interns, how AI changes screening, and long-horizon versus short-horizon firm types |
| Transaction Costs | Search / sign / mentor / supervise / exit costs and which are least sensitive to project scale |
| Signaling & Screening | Student pay-to-signal, firm try-before-buy, and separation of ability from attitude |
| Sustainability & Attrition | Why annual attrition is high, whether mobilization lowers it, and what makes one-shot courses return |
A line is not "this question causes that one" (not causal), but "these two are two sides of the same thing". Composed of two signals:
Hover or click any node — the right panel lists "why linked (shared tags / citations)", which is the evidence for that line.
Clusters sit close together when they describe the same mechanism from different stakeholders — for example, attrition is the symptom, time mismatch the cause, and mechanism design the cure. This adjacency is a finding, not a rendering bug.
The highest-betweenness questions now sit on institution funding/reputation and firm value/sustainability, confirming that five-party incentive alignment and sustainability remain the research spine.
